The fall issue of NYU Alumni News featured stories of NYU sweethearts that are still going strong. In honor of Valentine's Day, here is a testimony of love that blossomed on campus and continued to flourish even beyond Washington Square.
From: Herbert Herman (WSC '54)
"We met in "the Square" in 1950. I then entered the army and was sent to Heidelberg, Germany. When I returned to school in 1953, Sarah had already graduated. But our love had not faded, and we married that December. It is 54 years later, and we are truly "life long loves." Now living in Wellington, Florida, we have two children, Denise and Eric, and five grandchildren."
